How come we don’t have a Knight Rider film yet?

Plenty of TV shows warrant a film. Here are the TV shows that we feel should’ve been or should be made into movies.

KG:

1. Knight Rider-C’mon. This should’ve been done 4x already and how badass would it be with today’s technology. Plus Hasselhoff needs the money, he’s on Cameo for chrissakes.

2. Entourage-Yeah, I know they made a film but it wasn’t great. So let’s do it over and I’m throwing my hat in the ring to be the casting director for extras. That HAS to be the best job in the history of mankind; picking scantily clad 9’s and 10’s to be in the background that tower above Kevin Connolly.

3. Airwolf-Again, this should’ve been done 4x over. And how fun would it be to watch a drunken Jan Michael Vincent try and dogfight while not spilling his flask.

4. ALF-If only the guy who played Willie, the dad, was still alive, I’d front his salary to be in the film. BTW, he got busted for blowing homeless dudes for crack.

5. If Breaking Bad wasn’t so perfectly ended, I’d say that. So I’ll say with 1 season left, give me more Saul Goodman with a Better Call Saul.

6. What’s Happening-Like you don’t want to see more of Raj, Re-Run, and Dee.

7. Family Guy-What’s taking so goddamn long? C’mon, we all want to hear Quagmire REALLY dig in.

8. The Wire-Bailed after season 2 but everyone loves this so much and I don’t want to hear in the comments, “WHAT? NO WIRE?” Just to shut you up, here it is.

9. The Mandolarian-This is good and I see it getting better. Already better than the latest sequels.

10. He-Man: I’m not asking, I’m demanding a re-do. Fuck the Canon version

KI’s picks:

Airwolf — Maybe this would be a boring concept these days, but a stolen, high tech military helicopter being used to help people seems like it oculd work.

Knight Rider — Maybe the same problem as above, but it might work as a 21 Jumpstreet type spoof. Just keep the Rock away from it a la Baywatch.

A-Team — I know, this one had a movie, but it was terrible. I’d love to see a real, gritty remake.

ALF — C’mon…how has this one not happened? Maybe with a horror twist?

He-Man — Yeah, this also had a movie, but this was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid and it NEEDS a solid reboot! It could be such a cool fantasy epic.

Quantum Leap — This show was truly beloved and it never got old. I’d love either a continuation (thought Bakula may be a little old now) or a reboot. I need to know what became of Sam!

Gargoyles — I’m trying to stay away from cartoons because that could probably be its own list, but Gargoyles was SO good! Fans have been calling for a full fledged feature film for years. It’s time.

Moonlighting — I’m really surprised this hasn’t happened yet. Willis and Sheperd had great chemistry. Finding the right two actors to recreate this dramady classic would be a homerun.

The Fall Guy — Maybe I’m a sucker for the theme song, but I loved this Lee Majors led classic. A show about a problem solving stuntman is SO good!

Real American Hero — I think it’s perfect timing for this. Love the idea of the bumbling, reluctant hero. Give us a real superhero comedy!
